Fader Start over MIDI

Is it possible to start playing a song over a mixing desk which is able to send a midi control change command? For example I have a Yamaha DM-1000 Mixing Desk and I would like to start a song in sound byte with the fade in of the DM-1000 channel fader.

I can look into that, but right now, Sound Byte only response to MIDI play commands, such as from a keyboard.

It would be a very nice feature if It would work with fader start.

I have found a solution. I installed a software which convert the midi control change command into a hotkey launch. The hotkey can be assigned to a specific program. The name of this software is OSCulator ( www.osculator.net). If somebody is interested in that feel free to ask me.

I believe you can send midi from the assignable keys on the DM-1000. I've done that on an 01v96 as well as a DM-2000.
