Further to my previous bug report I was looking into the playlist problem when I found another issue which causes the program to crash.

I have a playlist opened

I then drag the top entry to the bottom and this is what results. The bottom name is replicated upwards

I then repeat the drag from top line to bottom and this is the result

And then finally this happens

There seems to be a bug in the way the list is handled when redrawn.

Regards,

Form state changing when editing cart

I like to set the cart window to maximised inside the outer form, but if you edit a cart it instantly changes the form back from maximised. Can it be made to leave the form state unchanged. Additionally would it be possible to make Soundbyte remember the form state so that when you load it agian it comes back as you left it?

This may sound trivial, but I use Soundbyte for theatrical sound where you are working with very low light levels. Knowing where everything is laid out on the screen is very important to prevent accidentally pressing the wrong button, so anything that helps keep the layout unchanged is valuable.

Thanks,

I have just installed and registered Soundbyte 3.9.6 on a Windows XP Professional SP3 Dell Lattitude 630 and I have had a few problems which I would like to report.

I have created a test playlist using some of the built in windows sounds. Very simple with just a few small wav file sounds. However when I load the playlist into a cart, either by drag-drop or by using the file open button on the cart, it causes the following error message to be displayed.

"An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down."

When pressing the OK button the application closes.

If I open the playlist and press the play button the playlist plays all of the sounds perfectly OK.

I can send you the playlist via email if it would help, but it just contains six of the sounds from the Windows directory such as ys.wav and newalert.wav. I have tried different wav files and this does not make a difference to the fact that it crashes.

Regards,

I noticed drops last night while playing with isoundbyte also. While using the software on a hard wired pc seemed to be consistent, while working from a wireless to wireless connection it seemed buggy. Hopefully its useful, keep developing this app it is a great selling point.

The buttons on the iphone app are quite small, I found myself starting the track above or below rather than stopping the current track. My solution was to create a track I called FadeOut, FadeOut is 3secs of silence. I populate 3 vertically stacked tracks in my rack with FadeOut and use red as the button background. The result with proper fade settings applied is the same as selecting fade current track. This can also be used on the PC for those that would prefer a global fade button.

Using the trial version and wondering how multiple racks are handled. Are their buttons for each rack or do you use the pull down menu? Does the rack populate immediately or does it lag? My vision is to have themed racks such as Bumpers, Penalties For, Penalties Against, Fights, Goals For, Goals Against etc.. I want to be able to move through them quickly and seamlessly. How are multiple racks used with the iphone APP?
